| 内容記述 | New equipment for analyzing the ocular fundus was developed to automatically determine the index of optic nerve head damage, and its clinical efficacy was evaluated. The subjects were 42 eyes in 26 patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma ranging in age from 25 to 88 years old. Change in the index, which shows the optic nerve damage and visual field in each eyes was evaluated over a period of 4 to 22 months (mean: 11.1 months). The results of the last examinations with the equipment in 38 eyes with 24 patients were similar to those obtained at the first examination. The index of 4 eyes in 2 patients was more than 15% worse, and in these cases, visual field defects developed. The results showed that the equipment is useful as a method of measuring for the clinical evaluation of glaucoma. | |||||
