The condition had slowly progressed and was suspected to be spastic paraparesis without familial history. The patient demonstrated bilateral talipes equines, brisk reflexes, and leg spasticity depending on position. These findings were thought to suggest leg dystonia. After a low dose of levodopa was administered for leg dystonia, the muscle tonus of the legs improved, suggesting dopa-responsive dystonia. Dopa-responsive dystonia is often misdiagnosed as familial spastic paraparesis or other diseases and the levodopa challenge may contribute to diagnosis.}, pages = {E186--E190}, title = {長年痙性対麻痺とされ,レボドパが有効だった下肢ジストニーの一例(神経内科学教室岩田誠教授退任記念特別号)}, volume = {78}, year = {2008} }
