 note = {We evaluated risk factors of recurrence after curative resection of colorectal cancer. Three hundred twenty-one cases resected curatively were investigated. The recurrence rate of all cases was 19.6% (63/321). Four factors (depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, lymphatic invasion, and preoperative CEA level) were significantly related to the recurrence. The recurrence rates of the patients who have each risk factor were respectively 28.8% (deeper than se or a_2), 40.0% (n_2 or n_3), 35.7% (1y_2 or ly_3) and 40.5% (CEA> 5.0 ng/ml). Cases having either factor recurred in 29.5%, and consist of 82.5% of all recurrent cases. On the other hand, cases having two risk factors recurred in 37.1%, and consist of 42.8% of all the cases. The disease free survivals were poorer in proportion to the number of risk factors. It is important that we carefully follow those cases having some of the four risk factors.},
